I get an error "The page cannot be displayed." while downloading SPAMfighter.
We have recently implemented a new download system which tries to detect your approximate geographical location in order to ensure a faster and more reliable download experience from a near-by server. In a few cases, this system might fail, resulting in what appears to be a "broken link". In this case, please click the nearest server from this list.

What operating systems does SPAMfighter support?
SPAMfighter works with Microsoft Windows Vista, XP, 98, ME, 2000 and Windows Vista.
No Mac support for now, but we will look at it later this year.

What versions of Email clients does SPAMfighter support?
SPAMfighter supports the following email clients on the Microsoft Windows platform: Microsoft Outlook versions 2000/2002/2007 (XP), Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express 5.0 or later.

Does SPAMfighter support IMAP, Exchange servers and POP3?
Yes to Exchange server 6.0 (not version 5.5) and POP3, but not IMAP. That will come in the future.

I have reinstalled Windows/I got a new Hard-disk/I need to reinstall SPAMfighter, how do i keep my Pro account?
Download the latest version of SPAMfighter here and install the software. When prompted, it is IMPORTANT you use the email and password you registered with the first time or we will not recognize you as a paying PRO user. If you don't remember your password, get it here.

I have a Personal Firewall like Zone Alarm etc., can I still use SPAMfighter?
Yes, no problem. Just make sure that it's open for SPAMfighter, look here.

I use Norton Anti virus products, can I use SPAMfighter?
Yes you can, but be aware that it might cause you some trouble. Here is how you do it right:
* Reboot your computer
* DON'T start Outlook
* Deactivate NORTON
* Download and install the newest version of SPAMfighter here
* Open Outlook and check if everything is all right
* Activate your Anti-Virus
If for some other reason you still can't make it work, you need to take off the gloves:
* Reboot your computer
* DON'T start outlook
* Deactivate Norton
* Download and run this program
* Reboot your computer again
* Deactivate Norton
* Install the newest version of SPAMfighter
* Open Outlook and check if everything is all right
* Activate Norton
However, the Remove.exe file will remove all settings in your SPAMfighter like black/white lists and statistics. If you have Norton Anti Spam, you will need to deactivate that totally, since that product most likely conflicts with SPAMfighter. Both are trying to access your mails for the same reasons, and that can make Outlook very unstable.

How do I install SPAMfighter?
Download the SPAMfighter client to your computer and then click on the file named SPAMfighter. Follow the instructions on the screen. When the installation has completed, restart your email client. Now you will have the spam folder and the "block" and "unblock" buttons on your toolbar.

How does SPAMfighter work?
Each time you download your email, the system automatically checks your email against the SPAMfighter database of known spam messages. If a message is identified as spam, the message is automatically moved to the Spam Folder.
On top of that, SPAMfighter uses a lot of other magic stuff, but this is a war and spammers are watching us closely, so we keep that part to ourselves. ;-))

Yes we are. The SPAMfighter company is a Microsoft ISV Partner and the SPAMfighter client is certified "Designed for Microsoft Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP"

How is my privacy protected?
The SPAMfighter server gives you the highest level of confidentiality. Your email privacy and security are our top priority. The legitimate email on your computer is never transmitted or shared with anyone - your legitimate email never leaves your computer. Only a few encrypted blocks of data encoded with MD5 (a one way encryption algorithm also called a checksum) and the unique URLs are seen by us.

SPAMfighter is currently available in English, German, Spanish, Chinese, French, Dutch, Italian, Greek, Swedish, Norwegian, Suomi, Russian, Bulgarian, Japanese, Portuguese, Thai, Chech and Danish.

No - unlike many other systems, SPAMfighter works with your own email accounts, nice and easy.

How many email accounts does SPAMfighter support?
SPAMfighter supports as many email accounts as you need. As long as you collect them on the same e-mail client, SPAMfighter will protect them all.

Does SPAMfighter remove spam on all my accounts/profiles on my computer?
Yes no problem, just follow these steps:
First install SPAMfighter on one profile, after that:
For Windows XP users:
Go to the profile you want SPAMfighter to work with. Go to: Start Menu > Programs > SPAMfighter > Settings.
Installation of SPAMfighter will automatically start.

Does SPAMfighter work with a firewall?
Yes, it sure does. But if you experience any problems, your firewall must be set to allow incoming and outgoing traffic on port 2409 (UDP) and on port 2409 (TCP). You can get more information here.

Why can I only find one version of SPAMfighter to download?
There is only one version to download because everybody gets SPAMfighter Pro for free the first month. After a one month trial, you choose whether you want to pay for the Pro version, or simply "downgrade" to the free Standard version. We will notify you, and if you don't want to pay, you will automatically receive the free version. Nice, simple, and fair.

No, we don't. Most spammers use fake email addresses, and it would be a pity to block random peoples' emails.

SPAMfighter was started by four Danish guys, and we have worked together for five years now. Two of us created the largest Danish Internet portal back in 1995, which we sold to Lycos Europe in 2000.

How do I know I can trust you SPAMfighters?
Well first of all, we have been in the Internet business for 10 years now, and we are very well known in Scandinavia as honest people. On top of that, SPAMfighter is registered in Denmark and, as you might know, Danish laws are some of the strictest in the world. That is why you never see spam coming out of Denmark.
