Blacklisting an email address

If you receive annoying emails from the same sender, you can “Blacklist” that address and divert all messages from it directly into your SPAMfighter folder:

1. Select an email you have received from a sender you wish to permanently blacklist.
2.Go to:  “More” > “Blacklist” and select “Email address”.

The email address is added to your blacklist. You won't see any more emails from this address.

If you wish to cancel a blacklist request see “Advanced blacklist management”.

Blacklisting a domain

If you find you are receiving many annoying emails from the same domain (e.g. allandsundry@spamsender.com), you can quickly put a stop to them.

1.Select an email from the domain you dislike.
2.Go to:  “More” > “Blacklist” and select “Domain”.

The domain is added to your blacklist. You wont receive any more messages from this domain.

If you wish to cancel a blacklist request see “Advanced blacklist management”.

Follow this procedure to add contacts to your email blacklist:

1.Click “Add” to add contacts one at a time.
2.Enter their email address in the field containing User@Domain.com
3.Click “Ok”.

The address entered will be added to your blacklist.

It is easy to remove people from the list. Simply click on their email address and click “Remove”.

If you wish to import a longer list from a text document:

1.Click “Import”.
2.Select the location of the file containing the email addresses.

SPAMfighter will then import all the email addresses from the text document into your blacklist.

3.Click “Ok”.

Follow this procedure if you want to add domains to your blacklist:

1.Click on “Add”, under “Blacklist domain”.
2.Enter the domain address in the field containing “Domain.com”.
3.Click “Ok”.

The domain entered will be added to your blacklist.

It is easy to remove domains from the list. Simply select the domain and click “Remove”.

You can also import a list of domains, either direct from your address book in Outlook / Outlook Express or from a text document.

1.Click “Import”.
2.Click on either the “Blocked Senders” tab (go to point 1) or the “Text file” tab (go to point 2) to import domains from the given location.
1.Select the “Contact list” tab to import contacts blocked in Outlook or Outlook Express.
2.Select the “Text file” tab to import contacts entered in a text document.
3.A list of contacts will then be displayed, to which you can make additions or deletions.  Click “Ok” to finish.

Note: If you use the “Import from text file” function, all domains must be entered as email addresses, even though only domains are to be blacklisted. E.g. entries must take the form a@spamdomain.com for the spamdomain.com domain to be blacklisted. Even though you must follow this procedure, only the domain will be displayed in the list.

SPAMfighter will then import all domains from the text document or Outlook / Outlook Express into your blacklist.

3.Click “Ok”.
