AOL wants to dig for gold in spam case

ISP AOL is to tell a court that it wants to dig for gold and platinum on property belonging to the mum and dad of a spammer.
AOL sued a Davis Wolfgang Hawke for sending millions of spam messages to its customers. It thinks he turned the money into gold bars and buried them somewhere on his mom and dad's property.

Hawkes has been unable to be found to pay any of the $12 million the court has ordered.

Peggy Greenbaum, Hawke's mum said that she didn't care if AOL dug up the entire yard. It was just going to make a fool of itself.
However, she has not talked with her son in more than a year and complained about the embarrassment and humiliation he brought to the family.

She thinks he buried gold in the White Mountains which are about 130 miles north of Boston.
"We certainly wouldn't allow him to put any gold on our property," she told the Washington Post, here. µ
