Ihug gets to the bottom of crippling spam deluge Internet provider ihug says it has resolved the junk email problem that crippled its system and caused havoc for thousands of its customers. Spokeswoman Cherie Lacey said yesterday that the problem had been fixed and the backlog of delayed emails had been cleared. "[It's] all fixed. Inbound and outbound email is resolved. Things were back to normal by Sunday morning as far as I know. The emails are all definitely going through okay." However, one customer complained to the Herald on Monday that his email still wasn't working. He said he had tried calling the support desk several times and was put on hold. "It gets a bit tedious after a while," he said. Junk email has been causing problems for internet users and service providers since October 28.
