EU Fights Spam, Funds Joint Antiphishing Research The European Commission (EC) has demanded a step up in the battle against Spam, spyware and other malware, urging EU member states to follow the example of Holland, which has achieved an 85 per cent reduction in domestic Spam. To put this statement into practice, EC has given Symantec a fund to pay for research into securing e-mail infrastructures from Spam and phishing.
