SPAMfighter passes the one million user markSPAMfighter, a Danish company, has welcomed user number one million to its ranks, making it one of the world’s largest spam filter providers. On 28 January, at 6.54 pm CET (Central European Time) SPAMfighter registered user number one million. The user in question is from the USA, which is SPAMfighter’s largest market. This American user has now joined 1 million other “SPAMfighters” from 207 countries or regions in the fight against spam. "One million users is an awful lot, but given that we have one billion potential customers, there is still plenty of work ahead of us", says Martin Thorborg, cofounder of SPAMfighter. SPAMfighter draws its power from the fact that 1 million users report spam as they receive it, with a single click. Once several users have reported the same spam mail, it is automatically filtered for all other users. The result is that 98 per cent of all spam is filtered out before it reaches any given user.
