Consumer Alert: Graduation Triggers More Job Scams

Boca Raton, Florida April 29, 2008 - Spammers are taking advantage of an upcoming milestone in the lives of college students. An increase of job scams are being seen with the approaching graduation dates all across the nation.

"Spammers are known for taking advantage of holidays and large events, so this is no surprise. Specific job sites, such as careerbuilder.com, where students often times put their resume are being targeted in particular. Spam mails are being sent saying claiming to be contacting the recpient based on a resume seen online. Recpients are then asked to visit their website and contact them through their site regarding a job. The site they are taken to looks legitimate and can easily fool unsuspecting online applicants.
