It helps a lot to turn your Outlook Express preview pane on or off, so the spammers can't see that you read the mails they send you. To do it, you simply have to add a button to your toolbar.
Here's how:
1. Right-click the Toolbar in Outlook Express and select Customize from the menu.
2. Scroll down the "Available toolbar buttons" list until you find a button labelled "Preview." Click the button (to select it) and then click the "Add" button to add it to your toolbar.
3. Close the screen and click the Preview pane button on your toolbar to turn the preview pane on and off.
