Introduction and Prerequisites

The installation of SPAMfighter Exchange Module into a clustered Exchange environment consists for the most part of a series of mouse clicks on the "Next" button.

There are however three prerequisites that you would need to check before starting the installation:

       1. SPAMfighter Exchange Module only works in an active/passive cluster (which is the only clustering mechanism Exchange should be run as according to Microsoft)

       2. A shared disk (also known as a Quorum Disk) must exist in the Windows Cluster

       3. A MSDTC cluster resource (Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator) must exists in the Windows Cluster

If one or more of the above prerequisites doesn't exists - or you are uncertain - please refer to the section named Preparation of Cluster.

If the prerequisites all are fulfilled, then you are ready to install SPAMfighter Exchange Module on your cluster nodes.

       2. Stop the SPAMfighter service

       3. Do a Cluster Move to the next cluster node

       4. Complete step 1-3 for each additional cluster node in the Windows Cluster

       5. When SPAMfighter is installed on all nodes, integrate SPAMfighter into the Windows Cluster
