This section outlines the main features of the SEM user interface. In short, it introduces you to the two main areas of the interface, the selection and display area.

The SEM user interface consists of two consistent display areas, which helps you to become familiar and comfortable with the application. This section provides a short description of the elements and functions displayed in these two areas. In general, the user interface looks like so:

Hence, the user interface is divided into a selection area in the left-hand side, and a display area in the remaining part of the screen.

The Selection Area

The selection area in the left-hand side of the screen contains a range of possible selection options, i.e. tabs with various sub-subjects. It is from this area you choose a tab, then click on a desired subject, and perform the changes or readjustments you may want to.

The tabs are both expandable and collapsible, making it easier to survey the options you need. Simply click the arrow icon to expand or collapse a tab. Like so:

The Display Area

The primary function of the display area is to display detailed information, and any possible range of options, on the subject that is selected from the selection area. In effect, the display area is rather dynamic, and shifts its content based on which tab and subject is selected.

As an example, the display area will present a sorted list of news, when the Latest news subject is selected. Like so:

The content in this area will change whenever a new subject is selected from the selection area. Note, that you can click the Frontpage subject, under the General tab, to return to the "main screen".

Language Selector

If you may need to change the language of your installed SEM, you do not necessarily have to install the application once again. Simply use the icons in the language bar, located in the top right-hand corner of the window, to switch to the preferred language.

Click an icon, and the language will shift instantaneous.
