TCP connection error SPAMfighter Exchange Module gets its power from the million of users in the SPAMfighter Community, and thus SPAMfighter Exchange Module needs to be able to communicate with this community over the Internet.
Some server installations are protected by a firewall - either software based like Microsoft ISA Server, or a hardware based for example in a router. Such a firewall may block SPAMfighter communicating with the SPAMfighter Community backend servers.
Fortunately it is quite easy to configure such a firewall to let SPAMfighter Exchange Module.
Depending on which type of firewall that is blocking the traffic, the configuration may differ. Please refer to the firewall's manual on how to configure your particular firewall.
To let SPAMfighter Exchange Module communicate unrestricted with the SPAMfighter Backend Servers, please open for the following communication:
If you are sure that the firewall is correctly configured - but the Connectivity Test during the installation says otherwise, it is possible to byparse the Connectivity Test by running the installation without the Connectivity Test:
1) Open a command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)
2) Navigate to the SEM Setup file
3) Run the SEM Setup file with the following parameter:
SEM_Setup.exe /byparseTest |
