It is not uncommon that Windows Securitycenter can have difficulties "letting go" of a product.
To solve this follow this guide:
Step 1 for Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP:
* Go to "Start -> Run"
* Enter the following in the window that opens: wbemtest
* Click "OK"
* Click on "Connect"
Step 1 for Windows Vista:
* Click the Windows button
* Type the following in the search field: wbemtest
* Click the "wbemtest" program which the search turns up
Step 2:
* Change the text in the field "Namespace" to: root\securitycenter
* Click "Connect"
* Click "Enum Instances"
* Type the following in the window which opens: firewallproduct
* Click "OK"
* Click the line with "FirewallProduct" and click "Delete"
* Click "Close"
* Click "Enum Instances"
* Type the following in the window which opens: antivirusproduct
* Click "OK"
* Click the line with "AntivirusProduct" and click "Delete"
* Click "Close"
The problem should now be solved.
