BitDefender Lab Discloses Leading Trojans Emerged in US During MayOn June 4, 2008, BitDefender, a company engaged in providing data security and antivirus solutions, disclosed the top 3 e-threats emerged in the US during May 2008. Trojan.Clicker.CM, a Trojan that serves pop up ads, distributed through infected sites, topped the menace list of May 2008 with 7.54% of total threats. For successfully showing the pop-up ads, the Trojan can pass through Norton Internet Security Pop-up Blocker. The Trojan shows pop-ups ads from the link http://asd.cl(removed).com/serving/links.php. It is a JavaScript integrated in sites. Therefore, researchers advised the users that to avoid the Trojan, they should search the required data in other places.
