Hackers Released Malicious Code to Exploit Vulnerability in QuickTime

According to Security Researchers at Symantec, an online security firm, hackers have released a dangerous attack code capable of exploiting an un-patched vulnerability in Apple's Quick Time.

The firm says that the security flaw has been named a "boundary condition error", and relates to the way a player handles the header data for multiple media files. A malicious hacker could implant specially crafted XML code in a movie or audio file and lead to the crash down of the application. However, there are no reports of the security flaw being exploited.
