Americans Need to Know More About Online Security

To launch its fifth yearly "National Cyber Security Month", the NCSA (National Cyber Security Alliance), a government agency collaborated with Symantec, an internet security company, announced the outcome of a nation-wide survey on October 2, 2008,. The results revealed that Americans feel little secured when surfing on the net, although they believe that they have the required protection.

The survey also indicated that only 26% of the respondents felt their PCs were "extremely safe" from viruses or worms, and 21% felt that their PCs were "safe" from hackers.
