JavaScript Related Threats Could Pose Challenge to Security Experts

According to Itzik Kotler, Team Leader of the Security Operation Center, Radware, an IT security company, the desire for the enhancement of Web 2.0 has raised the need for browsers to be more interactive and perform like a portal instead of being only a viewing stage. But it may introduce new security flaws to unsuspecting end-users, says Kotler, as reported by vnunet on October 29, 2008.

Further, according to security experts, the fast growth in JavaScript attacks is primarily due to their hosting on legitimate sites which suffer from an SQL injection. The SQL injection allows scammers to execute arbitrary code in the user's browser without the notice of affected site.
