Trend Micro Discovered Rootkit-like Functionality in EIS Product
Security researchers at Trend Micro, an IT security company, claimed that they discovered rootkit-like functionality in a product of Enterprise Information Security (EIS). They received a sample of program component file from Enterprise Information Security, showing easily exploited rootkit capabilities.
As per the IT experts, companies and organizations use Enterprise Information Security products to keep a track on activities happening within a network. The main objective of using these products is to ensure that security processes are religiously followed and no activity should violate the company's policies.
