Publisher of Saharareporters.com Says the Site is Under Attack

Thescoopng.com reported on 17th August, 2013 quoting the revelation of the publisher of Saharareporters.com Omoyele Sowore saying that the controversial online news channel has been attacked by unknown cybercriminals.

In an official statement issued by the US based publisher on 16th August, 2013 said that he has done every possible thing to re-establish the website. He also said that the online attack on the site started between Wednesday 14th August (2013) and Friday 16th August, 2013 and since then the cyber attackers have developed a range of methods to counteract his (Sowore) efforts to bring back normalcy.

Sowore said that SaharaReporters.com has long been under the influence of a brutal denial of service cyber attack. The cybercriminals have employed a multi pronged approach to their attack, as per news published by thescoopng.com on August 17, 2013.

The attackers have harmed the website many times during this period by means of a botnet that comprises of thousands of servers across the world and their opening attack beleaguered a POST technique to circumvent the caching servers which usually thwart these sorts of cyber attacks.

The minute we were competent enough to tone down the results of that attack, the online attackers toggled their stratagem and started bombarding the website by devising other ways, he (Sowore) disclosed, as published pmnewsnigeria.com on August 17, 2013.

He added that on reacting to this strategy and getting the website operational on Thursday, 15th August, 2013 the cyber attackers once again altered their strategy.

The third spine of the attack is known as a 'SYN Flood' attack, started on August 16, 2013 morning and it operates by loading the web server with requests for connection that continue for large periods of time. This attack has been rather challenging to surmount, and currently we are working hard to stop this particular method of attack," he promised.

Although we cannot impede the dominant issues of our revolutionary reports from appealing to these types of attacks but we assure our followers and readers that nobody will stop Saharareporters.com from divulging the characters accountable for the decimation of the self-respect of Africans.
