The Case of Nude Celeb Hack

During 2014, hackers infiltrated the iCloud accounts related to some very famous Hollywood stars with apparently just one purpose that of publishing online, nude pictures. The hack, regarded as a massive security breach, impacted stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton and Kim Kardashian, all three ultimately becoming the assault's foremost aspect. Updated information about the incident has been little, but according to one fresh report, FBI had spotted one 2nd person accused of committing the hack, however, no charges has been levied on anybody.

Taking cue from the search warrants, it is evident that the office of FBI at Chicago had its agent raid Emilio Herrera's house, an individual in his youth doubted of infiltrating the electronic mails. While Herrera wasn't arrested all through, agents searched his house 15th October 2014.

One more suspect named Ed Majerczyk who too stayed in Chicago had his house searched. According to FBI, Majerczyk adopted an e-mail id appleprivacysecurity@gmail.com that resembled the official id appleprivacysecurity@icloud.com, as well as carried out elementary phishing campaigns and social engineering for deceiving different celebrities into giving away personal passwords.

Moreover, both suspects appear as hacking different celebs' accounts rather than the same stars. Thus, they seem to be functioning like third-party hosts since the actual attacker changed his mules from one infiltration attempt to another. Naturally, both could've too worked jointly; however as per the documents, there's no connection between them other than that their home-town is Chicago. Softpedia posted this, January 18, 2016.

People have raised a query not how the hackers were able to lift deleted photographs but what was responsible for no progress occurring during investigation, to tell the minimum, in the common people's knowledge. No arrests have been done while FBI spokesperson merely says that investigation is pending for declaration of latest news.

Another query made is how somebody sufficiently skilled to craft one complex phishing scam couldn't conceal his own Internet Protocol ids, a reason possibly little accusations have been imposed. It's further understood that both Majerczyk and Herrera had just been made escape goats in the Celebgate assault via making their PCs infected to be utilized like proxies.
