One Senior Advisor of White House is the Latest Victim of CWA Hackers

Senior advisor of the president on science and technology is the most recent casualty among high government officials of teenage group of hackers having pro-Palestine agenda. He becomes a victim of hacking, along with the head of CIA and the director of national intelligence.

Motherboard reported that John Holdren, Director of Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) of White House, is the most recent target of a group of young hackers known as Crackas with Attitude (CWA), who has also targeted James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence, in middle of January; and John Brennan, Director of CIA, in October. They have reportedly also hacked Jeh Johnson, Secretary of Homeland Security, in October.

The reporter of Motherboard seems to have made connection with hackers, and discovers that one of the members of the group namely Fearz, has sent a spear phishing email to wife of Holdren, pretending as Holdren. The hacker requested her to remind him the password of the family's Xfinity account to which she immediately complied. The hacker accessed their Xfinity account with the password, and used the services dashboard to redirect all calls coming to residence of Holdren family to the number belonging to Free Palestine Movement, just like they did with James Clapper last week.

Softpedia posted on 19th January, 2016, stating that CWA comprises of three hackers namely Fearz, Cubed and Cracka have always claimed that their hacks are meant to bring attention to exploitation by Israel and Palestine's condition.

Last year, the group managed to get access to database of all these government officials and stole all details. In fact, the group released the details of 2,400 employees of government from the database in November 2015. After that, the group also proved their skills by hacking into JABS (Joint Automated Booking System), which is an application for recording and managing arrested US citizens.

CWA also claimed to have officially parted; but CIA, FBI and other law enforcement agencies have not given up to find and arrest them. The White House did not comment on the latest hack, but confirmed the attack on Holdren.
