UK Teenager Hacked into PCs of Top FBI, CIA Officials

 

A British teen's mother facing imprisonment for attempting at hacking into systems of top American officials, most importantly the director of CIA, reportedly won one Lotto jackpot worth 1.6m pounds from ruined property transactions. Coalville-based, 18-yr-old Kane Gamble admitted to committing 10 hacks, while making appearance before a Leicester Crown Court jury on October 7, as also getting cautioned he could be imprisoned.

 

Residing inside north-west Leicestershire, Gamble aimed to attack people on top U.S positions such as from CIA, FBI as well as the 2015-16 Obama administration. He used his home PC to hack former CIA director John Brennan and FBI's ex-deputy director Mark Giuliano. Defending lawyer for Gamble namely William Harbage QC stated that Gamble was autistic while he executed the cyber offences when 15-16-yrs old.

 

Leicester Mercury reports that some more hacking victims were Jeh Johnson chief of Homeland Security; Vonna Heaton former executive of National Geospatial Intelligence Agency; and John Holdren ex-advisor of science and technology to Barack Obama. Gearsofbiz.com posted this, October 8, 2017.

 

A hacking attempt by Gamble was also into the television cable/broadband A/C of James Clapper on Comcast who was Director of National Intelligence in former President Obama's government. The hack, which was tried during January 2016, was aimed at diverting Clapper's inbound calls.

 

The teenager acquiesced to 8 indictments of intentionally securing illegitimate admission into PCs along with 2 indictments of illegitimate alteration of computer content. When Gamble was arrested during 2016, there were reports about one British teenager getting into Mr. Brennan's private e-mail account followed with posting details on the Web while CNN reported that he might've had connection with a hacking group named "Crackas with Attitude."

 

Evidently, Gamble attempted at reaching the PC belonging to Ms. Haines on 17th Oct, 2015. During the period October 18 to December 25, 2015, the teenager attacked Amy Hess special agent of FBI. During October 29-November 16, he tried infiltrating the PC belonging to Mr. Giuliano. According to a release, a minimum of 3 other individuals in the conspiracy have bases inside United Kingdom who are under investigation by Crown Prosecution Service.
