Twitter Account of Air India got Hacked by a Group of Turkish Hackers

 

The authorized Twitter control of Air India seemed to have been compromised by a hacker group from Turkey, which uploaded a bunch of bizarre tweets. For some time, the Air India control even unveil a tweet which said every flight of Air India got canceled and suggested to take service from Turkish Airlines.

 

ANI, news channel revealed about the removal of the blue tick from the account by Twitter, as part of the policy of the website on valid accounts that are hacked. The account got reestablished brief time after, to national carrier.

 

After the attack, the handle uploaded a string of tweets in the Turkish language and retweeted the control- AyyildizTim many times. The Twitter handle of national career was altered to @airindiaTR from @airindiain for few times. The hack just kept going a couple of minutes and the name of the account that was altered to @airindiain was again changed to @airindiaTR.

 

"Last moment important declaration: Our all flights are canceled. From this moment onwards, we will take the service of the Turkish Airlines," a tweet says. The control's cover picture was also altered with an image of a plane of Turkish Airline. Followers of Air India is 1, 46,000 on Twitter as uploaded on thehindu.com dated 15/03/2018.

 

During the last year, the Asian College of Journalism' website also got hacked. The control presumes to be back to usual and all the tweets have been discarded now. Air India is going to make an official announcement of the whole incident.

 

The hacker group was earlier been reported to be connected to the incident of a hack of the Twitter accounts of MP of Rajya Sabha Swapan Das Gupta, actor Anupam Kher, general secretary of BJP Ram Madhav and Kiran BediPuducherry LG.

 

For some time now, Twitter has faced several impactful hackers and has imposed several measures to check the issue. Twitter reacted to these hacks and replied in the form of the tweet from the support control by stating, "Our specialists are attempting to resolve the problem affecting few Indian users. We are going to inform account holders of the affected accounts directly.
