Macs can be hacked with O.MG a modified version of Apple USB cable
Apple consumers in general may be accustomed to a lightening cable that they get packaged with accessories and phones of the company, more notably Apple's most recent AirPods and iPhone XS carrying wireless charging equipment. But, the surprising thing for these consumers is that they can be hacked via one such cable of a modified edition which too is likely to change soon.

MG explained that the distorted cable appeared as a genuine cable that also functioned like one so much so that the hijacked PC too wouldn't recognize the difference, except when he as a hacker wirelessly gained hold over the cable.
Presently MG is aiming at getting the O.MG cable as one genuine security equipment. The cyber-security researcher stated a company Hak5 was working to get that done. The hacking cables would be manufactured not as modified Apple cables but from scratch.
In addition MG stated it was really hard to do the modification on Apple cables, therefore, by successfully installing one, the other cables could be created as he planned for.
The security investigator is presently offering his cables to interested buyers at $200. He asserts a hacker can be at a maximum distance of 300 feet from the PC where using a smart-phone he can connect directly. Further, by using an antenna the attacker can acquire control from an even further distance.
