Hackers Made Political Society website A Game In Bahrain

The website of a political society in Bahrain was hacked on September 24, 2006. The hackers replaced the website with some online computer gaming site. The society is investigating into the attack.

The Website almenbar.com was that of "Al Menbar Progressive Tribune Society", a political society that was formed in 2002 by Bahrain's underground party "National Liberation Front". The website gives information about the programs, statements and activities related to the society. But when the Internet surfers visited the site, it displayed tips and views regarding online computer games by an online gaming class called 'Mojo Clan'.

The society has three MPs (Members of Parliament) representing it. They are Abdulhadi Mahroon, Abdulnabi Salman and Yousef Zainal. A spokesperson for Al Menbar Progressive Tribune Society, Fadhil Al Hilaibi, who is also a committee member, said that there was some evil motive of the culprits that brought the changes to their website. The society does not have any plans at present to shut down the website but it is investigating the matter.

He further said that it was necessary to find the reasons behind this, so as a first step the technicians will be scrutinizing the cause. The site never had a problem to this extent before, although there had been some technical faults.

Mr. Fadhil Al Hilaibi expressed concern about hackers changing the original content of the website of Al Menbar Progressive Tribune Society. He said that if the hackers changed the information on their site, it could be a major problem as the new views could be different than the society's and could even be misleading. The website is linked to the original website of Mojo Clan.

Mojo Clan considers themselves a group who rejects non-agreeable issues and does not tolerate 'childish pranks'. The clan propagates friendship and consideration for others. Its members consist of people from all parts of US and their Canada. The clan is a friendly sort but will not step back to act upon if need arises. With this declaration, Mojo Clan hopes to see every visitor of the site become a part of MOJO NATION!
