Employee Methods of Data Transfer Increases Risk for Businesses

DVS Soft, software specialist, said that recent high-sounding incidents revealed the risks of storing data on computer discs, and other frequently used methods by company employees such as web transfer facilities, instant messaging (IM) as well as social networking sites pose equal danger.

The company claimed that this way of transferring large computer files not only increases organizations' chances of data exposure, but also introduces the possibility of malware infection.

Malware is a software that is designed to infiltrate computers and cause damage to them. It thus, includes computer worms, viruses, Trojan horses, as well as spyware, programs that collect information on a user without authorization.
