Online Advertisers Charged for Breaching Consumer Protection & Spyware LawsA judge of Superior Court in King County found on May 2, 2008 that Internet advertising companies, Securelink Networks, LCC, NJC, and LLC, and their senior employees violated Washington's spyware and consumer protection laws while promoting software for registry-cleaner. Hence, with the authority of the Attorney General, the Consumer Protection High-Tech Fraud Unit filed a lawsuit in the month February of 2007 against the defendants based in California.
