Cyber-Crooks Reinvent Malware Attacks & Increase Them on the WebAccording to Trend Micro Inc.'s new security report - "Trend Micro Threat Roundup and Forecast 1H 2008" - the company observed a dramatic rise in threat activity on the Web during the first half of 2008. These threats had reached a peak of 50,000,000 in March 2008 from 15,000,000 in December 2007. The security company also warned that cyber-crooks are reinventing different social engineering techniques to cleverly trap both businesses and consumers, and thereby disseminate malicious programs.
