Hackers Attacked “Wall” Section of Facebook

According to Sophos, a security firm, on August 7, 2008, malicious hackers targeting users of Facebook, the social-networking site, through comments uploaded on the much-frequented 'Wall' page of the site.

The Wall, a prime feature of Facebook profile pages, serves as members' forum to post messages for each other. These messages also contain videos, music, photos and Web links to other sites, apart from text. The current malware attacks through a Wall message supposedly come from a friend who entreats the users to click on a link to watch a video clip on an apparently Google hosted Website.

But, the link leads users to a page that is not hosted by Google. At the page, visitors are advised for an Adobe's Flash Player ...
