ScanSafe Claims Zero-Day Malware Increase in November 2008

In its monthly Global Threat Report issued on December 18, 2008, security firm ScanSafe claimed that the rate of zero-day malware blocks expanded in November 2008 to 26%. The number had moved from 16% in October 2008 and 19% average recorded for 2008.

IT experts say that in zero-day assaults, hackers are faster than software providers and security vendors by exploiting flaws before vendors repair them.
