Sheriff’s Department in Kerns Beware about Phishing Scam

Kerns county sheriff's office (county of kern, California, US) teaches the internet users to be cautious of phishing emails that are majorly dispersing in the internet and are trying to target them.

The kern county sheriff's office (county of kern, California, US) would like to warn the masses regarding the current phishing attempt, reported kvsun.com dated June 13, 2012.

On June 12, 2012, an employee of the kern county sheriff officer's received a PayPal invoice on his sheriff's office email account. The invoice was addressed to the employee and indicated the employee had given the payment to a named person for the purchase of equipment. The invoice provided a shipping address in New York. Also there are many links to the invoice, among them one is directed the employee to log into his PayPal account. The page is identical to PayPal login page when logged in the desired link
