Softpedia.com published this dated December 27, 2012.

According to Danchev, the aforementioned type of fake pharmacy sites advertises various items at cheap rates attempting at persuading victims to buy one of them.

He continues that during an analysis of the website in discussion, it was really difficult for it to stay online. Regrettably, even though one has been seeing the above kind of websites over a long time now, researches reveal that numerous Web-surfers still become convinced of the scams leading them to buy fake medicines.

Worryingly, spam mails advertising pharmacy items have been probably witnessed as the most frequent bulk e-mail assaults during an extensive time till now. These items are deceptively canvassed via junk e-mails using various confusion-creating tactics. Furthermore, pharmacy spam schemes exploiting ordinary websites too have been found frequently, security analysts doing an examination of the present mass mail scam remark.

And similar as the above socially engineered e-mail scam by pharmaceutical fraudsters, previously too security companies discovered false Google Pharmacies as well as e-mails masquerading as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube messages that posed to be legitimate and genuine while, in reality, tricked consumers into following malicious web-links inside them.

Webroot forecasts there'll be an increasing number of these spam schemes during 2013, and the same peaking during December 2012 end and January 2013 beginning.
