North Korea Strongly Denies Involvement in Wannacry, Sony Attacks

In a strong statement of denial North Korea called United States' claim untrue that certain software developer on behalf of the formers government had a role in disseminating the WannaCry ransom software and hacking into Sony Pictures Entertainment.

As per an official of the Foreign Ministry of North Korea, the person whom USA named as culprit wasn't anybody important, while cautioned against making such allegations because they could dampen future discussions among the two nations planned for after the summit of the two top leaders President Donald Trump as well as Kim Jong UN leader of North Korea (NK).

Also as per allegations by United States federal prosecutors, the software developer named as Park Jin Hyok connived towards carrying out several assaults which as well filched $81m from one banking institution inside Bangladesh. Ctvnews.ca posted this online dated September 13, 2018.

USA has been under an intense impression that the software developer represented certain hacking organization getting North Korea's sponsorship. But according to researcher Han Yong Song with Institute for American Studies under NK's foreign ministry, the different cyber offences that the Department of Justice had mentioned were unrelated to North Korea. The Korean Central News Agency reported Song's statement. Song added that it was a complete mistake for USA to make in case it tried benefiting from absurd untruths as well as high-handedness.

Earlier United States government had stated that NK was behind Sony's victimization of hack that resulted in the exposure of extremely private data on employees, notably salary information, financial records, Social Security Numbers, and even top executives' embarrassing e-mails. Moreover, FBI since long has been suspecting NK to be involved in the WannaCry assault through which databases on innumerable computers were scrambled from the PCs at banks, government agencies, factories, hospitals and many enterprises worldwide.

Now, Park is accused of 2 instances of conniving towards carrying out wire and PC fraud. He apparently belonged to Chosun Expo a firm receiving government's backing, while it functioned from Dalian, China. U.S based banks have been prohibited from allowing Chosun Expo or Park open any account with the institutions.
