FBI Threatens Malware Trap in Death Picture

The FBI alarmed netizens to avoid accessing mails on May 3, 2011 that purport to display photos or videos of bin Laden's as they are viable to create massive havoc and leave the security of a system in a compromised state, according to FIRST COAST NEWS on May 03, 2011.

Immediately within a short span of less then 48 hours after the FBI encounter killed America's no. 1 hit list terrorist, Osama bin Laden, FBI have issued a press release warning general people to maintain surveillance while going through related emails, search results, attachments, and media files.

One version of this dubious malware is reason enough to destroy users associated with the victimized. These sorts of viruses often steals the personal information of people, declared the FBI as accords the news published in philly on May 03, 2011.

The FBI have urged common man to report any such suspicious activity directly to the Internet Crime Centre (IC3) at the same time while maintaining extra precaution in opening mails.

Warnings are also being issued by web and software security companies to precaution general public. Kaspersky Lab Expert, Vicente Diaz speculated of the urgency to control the situation for he was worried because of the propagation speed of the software, reports FIRST COAST NEWS on May 03, 2011.

He also acknowledged the prevalence of invigilation undertaken by security software companies like Sophos labs' to check all security pages of social websites like Facebook and Twitter.

According to Sophos Lab, one should automatically maintain extra caution while administering emails that contains links sent via Facebook or Twitter.

Moreover, the FBI has suggested users with some necessary basic tips. According to the FBI, users should not open an unsolicited mail. Besides, all users should have firewalls updated and antivirus software running on their computers.

In conclusion, particularly in social sites, one should adjust and check with all the privacy settings and ensure the prevention of unknown activities by unknown people that often purports to be arriving from the FBI as it never sends unsolicited e-mails.
