Man Pleads Guilty Over Computer Hack and Extraction of Porn

A Mexican residing in USA's Santa Ana is understood to have invaded several hundred PCs so he could get victims to prepare and send movies on themselves in sexually explicit poses. However, he admitted guilt on March 21, 2011 in Los Angeles (USA) to federal accusation pertaining to PC fraud. Nbcloseangeles.com published this on March 21, 2011.

Aged 32, Luis Mijangos, the accused from Santa Ana, admitted that he deliberately gained admission into a PC in an illegal manner and tapped into a wire communication, according to prosecutors who say this can get him imprisoned for up to 10-years along with a penalty of $500,000, as per Allvoices.com which reported on March 21, 2011.

Moreover, according to prosecutors, Mijangos hacked into the PCs via P2P file-sharing networks after defrauding victims into taking down a virus, which looked like well-known songs. The virus reportedly, let the 'accused' compromise the PCs so he could dispatch IM messages to all the addresses on those PC-owners' contact lists thus infecting other people as well, said the Office of U.S Attorney. Nbcloseangeles.com published this.

However, an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation that lasted 6-months resulted in the arrest of Mijangos on a June 2010 date. Stated the officials, the accused was found to contaminate over 100 PCs that some 230 people operated, including 44 or more minors. Indeed, the investigation started soon after just one complaint that one person residing in Glendale, a suburb of Los Angeles, made after he was victimized.

Furthermore, according to the prosecutors, Mijangos had the habit of seeking PC operators to send their sexually explicit pictures following which he blackmailed them with sending those pictures through e-mail to their friends unless they sent him additional porn made digitally at home. Nbcloseangeles.com reported this.

Nevertheless, FBI authorities arrested Mijangos in June 2010 and brought him physically impaired to Los Angeles federal court to face prosecution for the first time, said FBI official Laura Eimiller. Allvoices.com reported this.

Federal officials further stated that Mijangos carried out more commonplace online offences via similarly accessing computers for committing identity and credit card frauds.
