Viruses Likely to Count One Million by Year-end, Says F-SecureSecurity vendors' labs, which are receiving a mean 25,000 pieces of malware every day all round the week, agree that new malicious codes have never been as higher as this. If this tendency continues, then the total count of trojans and viruses would reach a million by 2008 end, says security company F-Secure. F-Secure also says that while increasing number of viruses are being created, people don't seem to report them fully. One explanation for this is that there is a continuous change in use of tactics by malware writers in infecting computers.
