New Kraken Variant RevealedPC Tools, on April 28, 2008, said that it discovered a new threat version of the Kraken bot, also called Bobax. The security provider also told PC Advisor that the Kraken variant was an extremely serious threat as it uses previously unknown techniques of detection evasion. According to PC Tools, the new Kraken variant employs a program that generates random words for URLs and headers and though the words look natural, they are meaningless.
