Kaspersky Gets Support from Security Vendors Against ZangoA coalition of security vendors has urged to a Federal appeals court to dismiss a lawsuit in which Zango, the maker of adware software, has charged Kaspersky Lab, the vendor for computer security. The coalition argues that if the case is allowed to stretch, it would damage the prospects of the market for security software as well as consumers' confidence in those products. Meanwhile, Kaspersky Lab maintains that its software products are not adware because computer users are specifically informed before installing the software that serves ads. It also argues that users generally accept an end-user license contract from Zango.
