Firefox Plug-in Provided With Trojan Included
Mozilla, the developer of Firefox, an open source browser, announced on May 7, 2008 that it found a Vietnamese language package on its business add-on page that had been maligned with a rogue program for months from February to April 2008.
Window Snyder, Chief of Security at Mozilla, said that all users, who downloaded this new language package since February 18, 2008, received an infected copy. The virus scans, which Mozilla does at the time of uploads, did not recognize this issue for several months following the upload, as reported by PCcworld on May 7, 2008.
