Survey Says, Home Computers Installed With Malware

As per AusCERT's first home computer user security survey findings, based on home computers security, almost 23% of home computers were found to be affected with malware and from those around 70% had been attacked last year.

On May 19, 2008, the result of AusCERT's "Home Computers Security Survey 2008" was out at the annual AusCERT information security conference held on the Gold Coast.

The survey was carried out by Nielsen, and after releasing the findings, the General Manager of AusCERT, Graham Ingram, said that the step to carry out the survey shows a major increment in the attack on client computers like home computers, as per the reports of pc world on May 19, 2008.
