PandaLabs Reports New Adware & Worms

PandaLabs, during the 3rd week of May 2008, spent its research time on the adware XP-Shield and two worms namely DisaCKT.B and Ridnu.H, as per news reported by Help Net Security on May 23, 2008.

According to PandaLabs, the adware XP-Shield behaves like the Windows Security Center. After the malware is installed following the execution of the XPShieldSetup.exe file, it makes a shortcut on the Desktop as well as in Start menu.
