JavaScript Attacks Compromise 327,000 Websites in AsiaOver just two days during the weekend of May 17-18, 2008, 327,000 Asian Websites belonging to Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Singapore were subjected to JavaScript injection attacks, says Trend Micro, the IT security consulting firm. The attacks tried to reach the systems via a huge outbreak of malware. An attack of the drive-by nature causes great risk to people who were infected stealthily with the script insertion. A script insertion attack is one in which the hacker transmits malicious software to the targeted Website. This compromises the site where visitors are directed to another malicious site hosting some malware.
