Hackers Hijacked Comcast’s DNS
Comcast Corp. said on May 29, 2008 that hackers on May 28, 2008 redirected users trying to access Comcast.net, the company's portal for its online customers, to a different and fake site.
The redirected site displayed a message of two lines that read KRYOGENIKS EBK and DEFIANT RoXed COMCAST, sHouTz To VIRUS Warlock elul21 coll1er seven.
A Spokesman of Comcast said that there was a possibility that the hackers' page attempted to load malware to steal user identities. But some surfers reported that the e-mail clients they used were diverted to the rogue address, raising concern that their login details might have been seized. Meanwhile, investigation is on by the security experts.
