Vulnerabilities on Reliable Websites Pose the First Threat to Computers
Security firm, Symantec, has disclosed the current Top Ten dangers that are affecting the compute security. According to the company, despite all efforts to foil cyber attacks, computer users continue to accept the funny pictures and videos from friends while these files contain invisible malicious code.
According to Marc Fossi, Manager of Development for Symantec's Security Response Team, cyber criminals are becoming smarter as they realize that it is not so desirable to disrupt systems merely to prove their skills as it is to join criminal gangs to steal identities for profit and fun, as reported by globeandmail on May 29, 2008.
Based on its study of computer threats, Symantec has characterized the vulnerabilities on trusted Websites as the main threat to computers today.
