Website of Ottawa Recreation Center Spread Computer Virus

The Ottawa City cautioned about a virus, which might have spread by Ottawa recreation center to the user's system making their systems vulnerable to spam, ID theft and fraud.

An alert posted by the city informs that during the 3rd week of May 2008 the site of the Orleans-based Ray Friel Recreation Complex was infected with a virus and anyone accessed the site during that period might got affected too.

The virus, which conducts an SQL injection strike , might attempt to install other private data stored at user's system and other viruses. The Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario, the Ottawa Police, and the Access to Information and Privacy Office of the city were all informed as soon as the incident reported.
