Vapsup Adware Topped Among E-Threats in May 2008

Fortinet, the leading supplier of Unified Threat Management (UTM) solutions announced on June 3, 2008 that one of the most powerful developments in May 2008 was the installation of the Vapsup adware that overwhelmed advertisements on users' computers, promoting fake antivirus software.

The Security Researchers at Fortinet pointed out that the adware Vapsup leaped 42 positions to occupy the second place, just 0.01% behind Netsky, the persistent leading malware.
