Worm Attacked on Several Sites of South AfricaThe security company, Telspace Systems, said that an automated SQL attacks from hacked systems during May 2008 infected several Websites, including Piggspeak, MNet, SABC, Highveld, MWeb, Private Property, 702 and News24. The worm has exploited bad coding methodologies in Web pages. The different kinds of the worm at the same time do different things. Some of them exploit ActiveX vulnerabilities, while many others backdoor systems and transfer passwords. The flaw is that every user, who accesses the infected sites, gets infected by the harmful JavaScript. Further, the hackers systematically take advantage from the vulnerability.
