Online Game Trojan and Adware Constituted Greatest Threats in May 2008
According to ESET's Global Threat Trends Report for May 2008, the Win32/PSW.OnLineGames malware was the most prevalent threat during the month, accounting for 17.95% of all detection.
The Win32/Adware.Virtumonde malware occupied the second place with 5.49% of the total detections. A potentially unwanted program, Virtumonde is used to serve advertisements on users' computer. Sometimes, it also opens several windows displaying unwanted advertising content and might be hard to remove completely.
