Microsoft Reissues Bluetooth Patch For Effective Performance

Microsoft has issued a revised critical Windows security patch because the update didn't initially prove workable on the latest Windows XP versions.

Christopher Budd, Spokesman, the Microsoft Security Response Center, said via e-mail that after Microsoft released the MS08-030 security bulletin, the company realized that the updates for Windows XP SP2 and SP3 might not fully safeguard them against the security issues elaborated in the bulletin, as reported by COMPUTERWORLD on June 19, 2008. Budd added that the moment Microsoft realized that a fix is ineffective; it mobilized its Software Security Incident Response Process to examine the problem.
