‘USB drives’ Common Vector for Virus Propagation
According to anti-virus firm Trend Micro, a recent survey by the company revealed that year 2008 has witnessed an increased number of PCs contaminated with virus spread through the detachable USB flash drives. The data storage devices are mostly responsible for spreading these viruses because people share or borrow the infected devices. Therefore, the firm urges people to make sure that their portable devices storing data are free from viruses, as reported by DAILY YOMIURI ONLINE on June 25, 2008.
