Series of Warcraft Trojan Circulates from Asia

World of Warcraft, a password stealing software, influencing online games, is estimated for around 13% of malware activity, found in a latest study. Security vendor, Fortinet, collected data by examining malware activity reported by the security software and hardware downloaded at client Websites.

Fortinet also disclosed that although China and Taiwan are most severely attacked, infections have spread out of these regions, namely Turkey.

The Security Researcher of Fortinet, Derek Manky said that while the main activities were carried out in China and Taiwan, Turkey has also started witnessing activities, as reported by vnunet on July2, 2008.

The Fortinet's report also showsed that China received almost 36.5% of total attacks from online game.
